A number of technical innovations have emerged with potential disruption--and opportunities--for the retail industry. Though we all know virtual currency of some sort (if you have played Monopoly/Matador, then you have used funny money or virtual currency), digital virtual currency is growing increasing common, fueled primary with online gaming. 

Facebook has pioneered a seamless and universal currency called Facebook Credits, which is used not only in the Facebook environment but could be extended to any vendor in Facebook's proprietary network. With a partnership with Amazon.com, Facebook would become not just the world's largest social network, but the largest marketplace.

SaIes Manager Jens Damgaard og Strategic Projects & Concept Development Manager Jørn Degn Hansen fra Nets Teller vil introducere Mobilpenge- et samarbejde mellem Nets og de danske pengeinstitutter. Mobilpenge er en ny og nem måde at betale på. Her kan forbrugeren betale via mobiltelefonen, hvor betalingen trækkes direkte fra bankkontoen. De danske pengeinstitutter håndterer markedsføringen overfor mobilbrugerne, mens Teller vil være aftalepart på betalingsløsningen overfor forretninger med både fysisk salg og fjernsalg

. Amanda is Google's Business Development Manager for Mobile ads covering the EMEA region. She works with many of the UK's leading advertisers across the Retail, Finance, Travel, and Entertainment sectors, consulting on m-commerce strategy. She is based in London and regularly speaks at mobile marketing events within EMEA and has become a well-respected thought leader in the mobile space.

The talk will focus on the growth of mobile and the impact it has had on consumers today.
15.45 Digital Coupons: Enabling retailers and brands to effectively reach, motivate and measure customer purchase behaviour

. Founder and Managing Director of Couponstar Jared Kean will cover the rapidly growing field of digital couponing specifically across the European landscape.  . Matt Wood is the Technology Evangelist for Amazon Web Services. In his role Matt educates customers on the technical and business aspects of cloud computing, mentor start-ups and coaches developers throughout Europe. Before joining Amazon Matt worked in the field of life sciences and built web-scale search engines at Cornell University, sequenced DNA in Hinxton and developed analytics software in Cambridge. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, a blogger and published author.
